Miss Print is December Foster, a native of Penticton who has recently returned to settle down in her hometown after 12 years in Victoria BC and abroad.

December Foster's career in marketing began quite accidentally when she went to work as a data entry clerk for an online marketing company called Convergent Media Network in Victoria BC in 2000. While there she did a lot more than data entry, and learned that she had a real love for the marketing world. She learned a lot of other things as well, one of which being that she wanted to work for herself and do things her own way.

December took a few basic Web Design courses and attended the S.E.A. Business Training Program. Then she launched her very own business called FoodCityNetwork.com.

One feature of FCN was an online directory of local restaurants. On the FCN website each restaurant had their own page with their info and menus. December used a wide variety or clever ploys to build an extensive database of local business people who wanted to receive her main service:The Menu Express, an email sent to them each morning outlining the "daily lunch and dinner specials of some of Victoria's finest eateries".

People loved the service! No longer did they have to strain their brains each day to decide where they wanted to go for lunch. It was all laid out in front of them each time they got to work. December was honored to host a vast clientele of incredible, locally owned restaurants and cafe's.

December had success in business and had a great time doing it, but decided to change directions in her life and eventually said goodbye to FoodCityNetwork.com.

Since then, December has had the pleasure of heading up promotions for a professional live theatre called Okanagan Stage, and being the Events Coordinator and Marketing Manager for the Barley Mill Pub in Penticton BC. Both positions have gained her significant experience and contacts in her new hometown.

December currently serves on the South Okanagan Women in Need Society's Awards Gala Planning Committee, and also as Secretary on the Centennial Roundabout Project Committee. She is involved in animal rescue through the SPCA and Critteraid. Her dog London is a registered St John Ambulance Therapy Dog and a regular volunteer at the Penticton Hospital.
